Instruments Taught

I offer personalised lessons across a range of stringed instruments for students of all ages and experience levels in Chippenham and throughout Wiltshire.

Whether you’re a complete beginner picking up your first instrument, an intermediate player looking to develop your technique, or an experienced musician wanting to explore something new, lessons are tailored to your goals, your musical interests and your pace.

Acoustic Guitar

The acoustic guitar is one of the most versatile and satisfying instruments to learn. It requires no amplifier, suits a huge range of styles, and gives you the skills to play and sing, write your own music, or simply enjoy making music at home.

Acoustic guitar lessons cover everything from basic chords and strumming patterns through to fingerpicking, music theory, songwriting and more advanced techniques. Lessons are suitable for complete beginners and experienced players alike.

Whether you want to learn your favourite riffs and solos, develop improvisation skills, understand how the instrument works, or play in a band, electric guitar lessons are built around your interests and goals.

Bass Guitar

The bass guitar is one of the most important instruments in any band, and one of the most enjoyable to play. Lessons cover technique, groove, rhythm, music theory and the skills needed to become a confident, musical bass player across a range of styles including rock, funk, blues, jazz and pop.

The bass was actually the first stringed instrument I was inspired by, and that enthusiasm continues to shape the way I teach it.
